Josephine (James) Sauls

Mrs. Josephine James Sauls, 81 of Calhoun formerly of Ocilla died Thursday, November 20, 2020 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday afternoon November 22, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Robert Tucker officiating.  The family will receive friends and family before the service on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M.

Mrs. Sauls was born August 18, 1939 in Reliance, Tennessee to the late Emmitt James and Vina Mealer James.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Mannin Sauls who died on February 9, 2013, her five brothers, Windom James, Roy James, David James, Tillman James and Tommy James and her sister Edna James. She was of the Church of God faith and formerly attended Ocilla Church of God.  She was a sweet and loving woman who loved to cook and complete word search puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter Cyndi Watson of Calhoun and her son Roy E. Watson of Calhoun, grandchildren, Brad Watson of Rome, Blake Watson of Albany, Bryce Watson of Brookfield and Josh and Nicole Warren of Adel, great grandchildren, Emily Warren and Bailey Warren.  Also surviving is her brother and sister-in-law Charles and Judy James of Chatsworth, along with her four sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma Johnson, Mary and Robert Tucker, Margaret and Teddy Pierce all of Alapaha, and Ivoray Akridge of Calhoun.
