Jose Alfredo Terrazas Velez

Jose Alfredo Terrazas Velez, lovingly known as Joe, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Jesup, Georgia.

A funeral and burial will take place in his home country of Mexico.

He was born on January 13, 1984, in Rio Bravo Tamaulipas, Mexico to Rafael Terrazas and Angela A. Velez of Mexico.Joe was a 2001 graduate of Colquitt County High School. After completing his education, he pursued a career as a self-employed mason in construction. Joe was a loving father, uncle, brother, husband, and friend. He loved to be with his family and friends relaxing and talking about anything to come up. Joe was hardworking and did anything for the people in his life. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. There is no better way to describe Joe than he was the textbook definition of a great man. 

Joe is survived by his daughters, Valeria Terrazas and Maite Terrazas, and his son Mateo Terrazas, his brothers Rafael Terrazas and Felipe Terrazas, his sister Nancy Terrazas all of Mexico and his nephews Damion Terrazas, Evan Terrazas and his niece, Chasity Terrazas both of Tifton.
