Johnny "Buck" Jefferson Parkerson, Jr.

Johnny "Buck" Jefferson Parkerson, Jr., a dedicated welder for Brewer Implement Company of Tifton for thirty years, passed away on June 3, 2024, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Union Grove Church of God with Rev. Todd Garner officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Michael Hayes, Chris Turner, Dave Norman, Will Parkerson, Allan Hopson and David Parkerson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Southern Gearhead Car Club and employees of Brewer Implement Company and Tony Jordan.

He was born June 18, 1970, in Tift County to the late Johnny Jefferson Parkerson, Sr., and Sandra Gail Graham Parkerson.
 
Known for his versatility and passion for life, Buck was a true Jack of all trades but master of none.  He found joy in riding his four-wheeler through the vast outdoors, indulging in hunting escapades. Buck especially cherished his role as "papa" to his grandchildren and took pleasure in sharing his love for the classic movie "Tombstone," often quoting "I'm your Huckleberry!!!"
 
In 1989, Buck graduated from Tift County High School where he honed his welding skills. A proud member of the Southern Gearhead Car Club, he combined his skills with his passion for automobiles.
 
Buck was a beloved husband to Monica Lynn Crocker Parkerson and a devoted father to Hope Drawdy (Tyler), Courtney Parkerson, and D. J. Parkerson (Amber). He adored his grandchildren Rowdy Parkerson, Tyson Drawdy, Jaxon Parkerson, Tucker Drawdy, Paxton Parkerson, Rebecca Parkerson, Brynlee-K Smith, and Tinley Drawdy.
 
He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, sister Katrina Parkerson Beggs of Ocilla, and Special "Momma" Shirley Busbin of Ocilla. Buck is preceded in death by his father Johnny Jefferson Parkerson, Sr., who passed away on November 29, 2007; mother Sandra Gail Graham Parkerson who died on June 9, 2018; as well as his brother Ronnie Parkerson.
