Johnnie Eugene Creel

Mr. Johnnie Eugene Creel, 83, of Tifton, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 25, 2022 at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Alfonso Gutierrez officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens with military honors rendered. No formal visitation will be held.

Mr. Creel was born July 29, 1938 in Tift County to the late Cornelius Abson Creel and Neelie Radella Hughes Creel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Mr. Creel was retired from the United States Air Force serving for twenty-three years and worked with the United States Post Office for twenty years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves. Mr. Creel loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Creel is survived by his wife of sixty years, Jeanne Marie Masse Creel of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Laurie Creel of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Joseph and Valeria Creel of Tifton; his daughter and son-in-law, Jocelyn and Walter Clements of Tifton; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, W. D. Creel of Norman Park and Larry Creel of Tifton; three sisters, June Meadows of Albany, Faye Creel of Fitzgerald and Reginia Patterson of Norman Park.
