John C. Ferreira Jr.

John C. Ferreira, Jr., 76, of Ocilla died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Ferreira was born on January 30, 1940 in Pepperel, Mass. to the late John C. Ferreira, Sr. and Angeline Ferreira. He served in the United States Army and then retired from the National Guard Segment. He had lived in Irwin County for nine years. Mr. Ferreira was a team member of the Georgia Wildlife Rescue Team. He loved all animals especially his many cats. Mr. Ferreira worked as a concrete plant manager and was a member of the Teamster’s Union.
Mr. Ferreira is survived by three sons, Mark Ferreira and Cristy Holtzinger of Ocilla, Richard Ferreira of Boston, Mass., and John Ferreira of Venice, Fla.; seven grandchildren; one brother, Edward Ferreira of Lowell, Mass.; and one sister, Delores Moneau of Lowell, Mass.
