JoAnne (Pearce) Pippin

Mrs. JoAnne Pearce Pippin, 71, of Chula passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 17, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. at the funeral home on Friday before the service.

Matt Cirullo, Johnathan Cirullo, Michael Pippin, Toby Douglas, Patrick Futrill and Kevin Gibbs will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Pippin was born August 4, 1950 in Tift County to the late Grady Pearce and Hattie Belle Vickers Pearce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Pearce and Benny Pearce. Mrs. Pippin grew up in Eldorado and had lived in Tift County all of her life. She was a 1968 graduate of Tift County High School and later received her associate’s degree in nursing from ABAC in 1970. JoAnne was very proud of her nursing career at Tifton Woman’s Center. She was a wonderful wife and mother who loved to cook and sew. She took joy in growing beautiful flowers and she was especially  proud of her roses and daylilies. She adored horseback riding with her husband, fishing and just being outdoors. Mrs. JoAnne loved animals and she had several cats and dogs.

Mrs. Pippin is survived by her husband, Robert Alan Pippin of Chula to whom she was married for fifty-three years; two daughters, Jennifer Pippin and Becky Pippin both of Chula. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and her special friend, Mikki Fender who was a wonderful caregiver.

The family wishes to acknowledge Hospice of Tift Area for their compassionate care during Mrs. Pippin’s illness.
