Jimmy Carson Gray,71, born on October 11, 1953, in Tifton, Georgia, passed away on October 17, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center. He was a dedicated mechanic and wrecker driver for Prince Chevrolet for over fifteen years, a role that brought him great satisfaction and joy. His enthusiasm for his work and his skills as a mechanic were well appreciated by both colleagues and customers alike.
Throughout his life, Jimmy found immense pleasure in simple home life. He cherished his time spent watching wrestling on television, a passion that allowed him to unwind and enjoy the excitement of the sport he loved. Family was at the heart of his existence, and his warm, nurturing spirit will be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched.
Jimmy is survived by his four children, Teresa Abney, Vickie Gray, Randy Gray, and Randall Howell. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Chasity McQueen, Christian Haines, Dustin Mooney, Gavin Wood, Zachary Abney, Cassandra Abney, Louie Abney, III, Kaylynne Abney, Ashton Gray, Ryland Howell, and McKenna Howell, along with eleven great grandchildren who brightened his days. Additionally, he is survived by his sister, Mary Harris.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Harvey Gray; his mother, Ruby Mae Harnage Gray; his three brothers, Michael Gray, Ricky Gray, and Pete Harnage; his daughter, Lisa Marie Gray; and his beloved companion, Lois Howell, whom he loved very much.Jimmy's legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and friends for years to come. His generous spirit and the memories shared will not be forgotten.
