Jimmie's life was one dedicated to caring for others, starting with her dear mother whom she cherished and selflessly cared for until her death. Despite not having children of her own, Jimmie possessed a mother's heart that extended to her nieces and their children. She found joy in documenting their milestones and nurturing them with unwavering love.
Throughout her life, Jimmie held various jobs in the manufacturing industry and with The American Red Cross, however, her most treasured role was that of a caretaker for her family members. Her vibrant personality showed through even in challenging times, depicting a strong-willed individual with a positive attitude towards life.
A woman of faith, Jimmie found solace in reading and studying her Bible daily. Her ultimate goal was to be closer to Jesus and she lived each day with the anticipation of meeting him in Heaven.
Jimmie was predeceased by her parents, James Robert and Tessie Dover Phagan, her brother and best friend until his death on April 11, 2022, Harry Wayne "Shug" Phagan, along with her other brothers James "Whitey" Phagan, Gladston Phagan, Morris Phagan, Bobby Phagan, Donal Phagan and Winfred Phagan
