Mr. Jim Azor Paulk, 86, of Sumner, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at his residence.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. in Paulk Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Grady Morey officiating.
Mr. Paulk was born May 28, 1934 in Worth County to the late Dutch Paulk and Estelle Webb Paulk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Margarete Faye Taylor Paulk who died January 20, 2016, two sisters, Ruth Tillman and Grace Willis and one brother, Gene Paulk. Mr. Paulk was a member of New Hope Holiness Church in Worth County and was a self-employed farmer. Mr. Paulk had lived most of his life in Worth County. Mr. Jim was a man of simple pleasures who cared deeply for his family and worked hard to provide for them. He loved to collect unique things like Stetson hats and Western boots. He enjoyed seeking out antiques. Mr. Paulk was devoted to his Lord and prayed often for his family and friends. He taught his children to help others as he had done.
Mr. Paulk is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Mary Paulk of Jacksonville, Florida and Stacy and Karen Paulk of Sarasota, Florida; two daughters and son-in-law, Teri Moody of Lake Blackshear and Angie and Mark Kite of Sylvester; his grandchildren, Marie Hodges, Kristy Johannesen, Seth Moody, Jonathan Moody, Cameron Paulk, Devin Paulk, Brennan Kite, Zachary Kite and C. J. Kite; eleven grandchildren and one brother-in-law, Ray Taylor of Parrish, Tennessee.
