Jason Larry Heard, 44, of the Waterloo Community in Irwin County passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in Landmark Baptist Church with Rev. Cory Thompson and Rev. Kenneth Potts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening at Albritton Funeral Directors from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.
Pallbearers will be Steve Register, LaDon Chambliss, Jeromy Mullis, Jimmy Day Josh Thompson, and Hugh Fletcher.
Jason was born in Tifton on October 2, 1972 to Glenda Mattocks Heard and William Larry Heard. He attended Irwin County High School and lived in Irwin County most of his life. He loved to farm on the family farm,raising cows, hunting and fishing. He also liked to salt water fish and loved all his family.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Linda Gail Norton Heard, his daughter Hagan Heard, Valdosta, son Gage Heard, Fitzgerald, step daughter Keri Melton, Waterloo and step son Jake Melton, Fitzgerald, sister and brother-in-law Cara and Raymond Greene, Tifton, niece Jessica and Matthew Smith, Fitzgerald and nephew James William Day, Tifton.
