Jane Myrtis (Day) Howard

Mrs. Jane Myrtis Day Howard, 78, of Tifton passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. at Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Corey Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:30 P.M. at Tift Memorial Gardens before the service.

Mrs. Howard was born October 25, 1942 in Irwin County to the late Carl Day and Blanch Spradlin Day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Howard, her sister, Virginia Pate, her brothers, George Day, Curtis Day and Fred Day. Mrs. Howard had lived in Tift county for many years where she graduated from Irwin County High School. She was retired from Riverside Manufacturing in Moultrie. She was an excellent seamstress and made her career in the apparel industry. Mrs. Myrtis enjoyed growing flowers, collecting light houses and loved to attend gospel music gatherings. She enjoyed being together with her family.

Mrs. Howard is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Stan Fowler of Panama City, Fla., Dale and Nancy Fowler of Omega; nine grandchildren, Erin and D.J. Poole, Brayden Fowler, Courtney Fowler, Bethany and Jamie Harrell, Dustin fowler, Cindy Massey, Lacee and Larry Morrel, Rachel and Diego Mejia and Ryan Johnson; one sister, Louise Manning of Jonesboro and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Joyce Day of Tifton and Robert and Donna Day of Griffin.

The family will accept flowers.
