James Curtis Pearman

Tifton - James Curtis Pearman, 87 of Chula, died Monday, July 10, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 12, 2017, in Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Chula with Rev. Larry Layfield officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The Pearman family will receive friends at Albritton Funeral Directors on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will by Russ Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Hank Majeski, Curt Majeski, Tot Graves, Brent Pearman, Zach Cromer, Jimmy Ross, and Van Graves. Honorary pallbearers will be The Syrup Soppers Prayer Group and Adult III Sunday School class of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Mr. Pearman was born May 14, 1930 to the late Gordon C. Pearman, Sr. and Effie Graves Pearman, in Chula, and he enjoyed farming there all of his life.  He was very active in his church where he had served as a children’s Sunday School teacher, deacon, and as a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School class and men’s ministry group. He loved his family and especially his grandsons and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Womack Pearman,the love of his life to whom he was married sixty years, great grandson Bo Majeski, his sister Frances White, and brother Gordon C. Pearman, Jr.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kathy and Rod Griffin, Chula and Jan Majeski, Sylvester, grandchildren, Russ and Erin Griffin, Ryan and Rachel Griffin, Hank and Tanya Majeski and Curt and Lindsay Majeski, great grandchildren Charly Majeski, Emery Griffin, Elizabeth Griffin, Johanna Majeski, Wilder Griffin and a great grandson, Winston Majeski, due in October.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church 293 Mt. Zion Church Rd., Chula, Ga

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
