James Thomas Wright

Mr. James Thomas Wright, 80, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.

Graveside services will be held Monday, May 27, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. in Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Craig Nalls officiating.

Mr. Wright was born August 30, 1938 in Tift County to the late James Bryant Wright and Mildred Matthews Wright. Mr. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church of Tifton. He loved his church and was very active in the church. He was employed with Lockheed in Marietta, Georgia. Mr. Wright had lived in Tifton for most of his life. He was formerly a manager with Shoney’s and Red Lobster. Mr. James was an avid fisherman.

Mr. Wright is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lee and William A. Vandervoort of Houston, Texas; his niece, Leandrea Mossbarger of Houston, Texas; former spouse and good friend Lois Collins of Tifton; many cousins and friends who reside in the Tift Area.
