James Howard Harvey, 66, of Tifton, died Monday, April 4, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 9, 2016, in the Tift Memorial Gardens mausoleum chapel with Bishop Derron Spikes officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Albritton Funeral Directors on Saturday from 12:00-1:30 P.M.
Mr. Harvey was born September 11, 1949, in Milton, West Virginia, to the late Howard Harvey and Geraldine Kingrey Harvey.
Mr. Harvey was a veteran of the United States Army where he was a tank technician. He later worked in construction with Hampton Construction, and he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton.
Mr. Harvey is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jean Powers Harvey of Tifton; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Diana and Naaman Manns of Huntington, W. Va., and Deanna and Ricky Altman of Ocilla; one son, Danny Wise of Tifton; six brothers; seven sisters; fourteen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
