Mr. James Everett Griffin, 51, of Tifton formerly of Bainbridge passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Andersonville National Cemetery with Rev. Andrew Stucker officiating.

Mr. Griffin was born December 24, 1969 in Bainbridge, Georgia to James Herman Griffin and Linda Kay Dodson Griffin both of Bainbridge. He worked as a security guard at Langboard MDF in Willacoochee. Mr. Griffin was a veteran of the United States Marines Corp. He was born and raised in Bainbridge and had lived in Tifton for the past year. James was a wartime marine veteran and very proud of his military services. He was an excellent father and loved his two children and wife dearly. James was an outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was a Florida State Seminole fan and also loved wrestling. James loved animals.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Stephanie Van Horn Griffin of Tifton; one daughter, Aubree Kayelyn Griffin of Bainbridge; one son James Hunter Griffin of Bainbridge; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Elizabeth and Harvey Weir of Panama City and Krista Kai and Lee Carmichael of Panama City, Florida. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and his special friend, his dog Rodeo.
