James Edwin Barnhill, 70, of Tifton died Thursday, June 02, 2016 at Colquitt Regional Hospital.
Graveside service will be held Sunday, June 05, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. John Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 04, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Mr. Barnhill was born July 01, 1945 in Tift County to Margaret Jones Barnhill and the late Emory Vernon Barnhill. He was of the Baptist faith. He worked for Tifton Aluminum as a machine mechanic for many years until he retired. Fishing, building projects and being outside and doing yard work are just a few of the things he enjoyed. Mr. Barnhill loved his family and his grandchildren very much.
Mr. Barnhill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Waldene Fletcher Barnhill, one daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Matthew Fowler of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Adrienne Barnhill of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Fletcher Barnhill, Hudson Fowler, and Collin Fowler; and one brother, David Barnhill of Tifton.
