Jacob “Jake” Lee Scarborough, 27, of Tifton passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Ronnie Howell and Rev. Lester C. Burks officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Roger Mays officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 18, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Austin Pitts, Tyler Pitts, Jimmy Scarborough, Rueben Jones, Damion Scarborough and Jason Smith will serve as pallbearers.
Jake was born December 15, 1993 in Tifton to Russell L. Scarborough and Sandy Elliott Young. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Esther K. Elliott and Dan H. Scarborough. Jacob was a 2012 graduate of Tift County High School and formerly attended Mt. Calvary Methodist Church. Jake loved people and never met a stranger. Jacob had lived his entire life in Tifton and loved being around his family. He was very helpful to all his grandparents.
Jake is survived by his parents, Russell L. Scarborough and step-mother, Connie Scarborough; his mother, Sandy Elliott Young; one son Kashton F. Scarborough of Tifton; his aunt and uncles, Debbie and James Scarborough, Brenda Barnes all of Tifton, Laurie Pitts of Leesburg, Darla Elliott of Statesboro; grandparents, Carl H. Elliott and Lynda Scarborough of Tifton; cousins, Jimmy and Damion Scarborough, Brittany Jones, Mallory Barnes, Amber Barnes all of Tifton, Austin Pitts of Leesburg, Tyler Pitts of Leesburg and Jake’s fiancé Mikayla Seymour and her daughter Mollee Cromer of Tifton. Ollis Brewer was a special friend who loved him like a son.
