Irene Lillian (Lang) Young

Irene Lillian Lang Young, 91, of Tifton died Sunday February 26, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, March 02, 2017 at Albritton Funeral Directors in the chapel with the Rev. Alvie Yates officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 am on Thursday before the service.

Mrs. Young's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Young was born on April 03, 1925 in Akron, Ohio to the late Peter and Katherine Nepp Lang. She was married to the late Carl Eugene Young who passed away September 07, 2015.

Mrs. Young was a charter member of the Peace Lutheran Church. She was very active in her church and worked along with her husband with Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and loved her family very much.

Mrs. Young is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and John Hill of St. Mary’s; three sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Bettye Young of Cordele, Paul and Cheryl Young of Johns Creek, and Larry and Erin Young of Tifton; thirteen grand children; and fourteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Young was preceded in death by one grandson, John Joseph Hill.
