Scott dedicated much of his life to the automobile business, proudly working within his family’s legacy at the former Quality Chrysler dealership in Fitzgerald, Georgia. An avid fan of sports, he found joy in following Nascar racing, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs football team, and supporting the Atlanta Braves baseball team. His varied interests extended beyond sports; Scott cherished vacations in the mountains, as well as indulging in water skiing and golfing—a testament to his love for adventure and the outdoors.
Educationally, Scott graduated from Tiftarea Academy in 1982, leaving a mark not only as a student but also as an athlete. He played baseball and football, and was a valued member of the track team. Scott was also an instrumental part of the Tifton Mavericks softball team that achieved a national victory for boys 15 and under in 1980. He furthered his academic journey by attending Georgia Southern University.
Scott's devotion to his family, particularly his two sons, Colby Mobley Jones and Cullis Scott Jones, was evident in the way he actively participated in their school and sports activities throughout their upbringing. His love extended to their families, as he welcomed Kasey Kight Jones, Colby's wife, and Dorian Jean Garvey, Cully's fiancée, into his life with open arms.
He is survived by his beloved sons, as well as his mother Judy Bailey Jones, his two brothers Kyle Jones and Keith Jones, along with his sister Leslie Cromer and her husband Sidney. Scott was preceded in death by his father, Hulen Cullis Jones.
Hulen Scott Jones leaves behind a legacy of love, passion, and dedication that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of his loved ones.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Scott's memory to Mt. Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 293 Mt. Zion Ch. Rd., Chula, Ga. 31733.
