Mr. Homer Dewitt Adams, Sr., 71, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. William Fogarty officiating. Interment will follow in Lawrence Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. before the service at the funeral home.
Motorcyles friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Adams was born November 30, 1949 in Fayette, Alabama to the late Hollis Lee Adams and Maebell Griffin Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rayford Adams and Jerry Adams and his sister, Patricia Ann Turner. Mr. Adams was a member of Unity Baptist Church and truck driver with Dixieland Trucking. Homer loved his children, grandchildren, Nana and buddy, his babies. He loved riding motorcycles and driving trucks.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Edwina Rose Moreland Adams of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Catherine and Tony Bruner of Tifton and Kemberley and Gene McMillian of Brookfield; three sons and daughter-in-law, Talmadge and Rose Adams of New Mexico, Homer Adams, Jr., of Enigma and Larry Barnes of Brunswick; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and one sister and brother-in-law, Martha Nell and Robert Baker of Des Plaines, Illinois.
Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
