Adel, GA-James Henry Clyburn, Jr., 59, of Adel, Ga., died Sunday, February 21, 2016, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at the Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery in Adel with the Rev. Christy Bandy and the Rev. Earl Perry officiating.
Kris Clyburn, Josh Clyburn, Edward Clyburn, Ray Thornton, Sean Sommer, Morgan Guthrie, Clint Fountain, and Steve Turner will serve as pallbearers. The Freedom Seekers Motorcycle Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Clyburn was born November 14, 1956, in Camden, SC, to James Henry Clyburn, Sr. and Helen Joyce Sample Clyburn, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Denise Crosby Clyburn who died August 23, 2013; and two brothers, Morgan Clyburn and Tom Clyburn.
Mr. Clyburn graduated from Tift County High School and then attended ABAC. He was the owner of South Ga. Cycle Works in Tifton and had been repairing motorcycles and ATV’s at his shop since 1986. He was a member of the Freedom Seekers Motorcycle Club and the First Baptist Church of Tifton.
Mr. Clyburn is survived by one daughter, Chloe Clyburn of Adel, GA; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Kris and Shannon Clyburn of Austell, GA., and Josh and Summer Clyburn of Jasper, GA; three grandchildren, Olivia Clyburn, Abigail Clyburn, and Lucian Clyburn; and one brother, Edward Clyburn of Auburn, GA.
