Henry Clark Smith

Tifton - Mr. Henry Clark Smith age 73 of Tifton formerly Albany, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Albritton Funeral Directors at 11:00 A. M. His children and co-workers will give eulogies.  Interment will follow at the Inaha Baptist Church Cemetery in Sycamore.  The family will receive friends before the service on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M.

Mr. Smith was born April 18, 1943 in Turner County to the late Jerome David Smith who died December 26, 1994 and Ben Opal Hobbs Smith who died April 22, 1990.  Mr. Smith had lived in both Turner and Tift Counties for many years.  He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball, Atlanta Falcons football and UGA Bulldog football.  He served and retired from the United States Army after twenty two years, serving a tour in Thailand and Germany along with two tours in Vietnam. After his military career he worked as a safety director for Scales Express Trucking Company.

Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Warren B. "Skip" Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; and daughter and son-in-law Lori and Chris Sparrow of Winston - Salem, NC.; four grandchildren, Paisley Smith, Tanner Qualls, Rylie Qualls, Raegan Qualls, sister, Pat Lipsey of Atlanta, and brother Jerry Smith, of San Francisco, CA along with cousins Patsy Hollifield, and Paula Summey.

Arrangements are being handled by Albritton Funeral Directors.
