Harrell "Harry" Andrew Bloodworth

March 26, 1958 — July 13, 2022

Harrell “Harry” Andrew Bloodworth, 64, passed away July 13, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Harry was born March 26, 1958 in Tifton to the late Harrell Franklin Bloodworth and Barbara Danforth Bloodworth. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Marvin Leroy Bloodworth and Mattie Pearl Johnson Bloodworth Willis and his maternal grandparents Arthur Clarence “A.C.” Danforth and Lillian Willis Danforth.

He is survived by his mother Barbara Danforth Bloodworth, daughter Amanda Keys, son-in-law Shannon, grandson Cole and granddaughter Caitlyn. He is also survived by his brother Craig, nephew Randy, sister Gina Johnson, brother-in-law Kevin and niece Lillian. Harry loved his family very much.

Harry went to Tift County High and ABAC. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation at Auburn, he worked as an engineer at Heatcraft but decided he had rather spend his days with his father and brother working in their family business, Bloodworth Air Conditioning.

He enjoyed watching the Auburn Tigers play football and the Braves play baseball.  In his younger years, Harry played the mandolin in a small band with friends and he loved bluegrass music.  One of his favorite pastimes was reading. He learned to speak Spanish really well and would read his favorite books again in Spanish. Harry was often found with a cup of coffee in one hand and sometimes a pencil in the other working physics equations “just for fun.”

Harry also loved fishing. He grew up fishing with his Granddaddy Danforth, father, brother and cousins on their family farm. Throughout the years, he still went to the farm to spend a day fishing on the river. His favorite tv show was The Andy Griffith Show and he loved the song “The Fishing Hole.” Harry often said, if you were having a not-so-good day, “you just need to watch a little Ange.”

Following Harry’s wishes, a private graveside internment with his immediate family will be held at Oak Ridge cemetery.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
