Mr. Glover Lamar Manning, 84, of Chula passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Corey Thompson and Rev. Luke Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens with the visitation following the interment.
Jason Hutchinson, Jordan Price, McKennzey Manning, Blaine King, Kreston King, Clay Ray and Daylon Manning will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Manning was born November 8, 1936 in Turner County to the late Robert Lee Manning and Bessie Pate Manning. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers. Mr. Manning was a member of Landmark Baptist Church. He was retired from Tifton Aluminum after twenty plus years. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. Mr. Manning always gave a nickname to those he met.
Mr. Manning is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Edna Cortez Phelps Manning of Chula; his five children and their spouses, Ann and Ronnie Dunn of Tifton, Stacy Manning of Chula, Michelle Cooper of Ocilla, William and Lisa Manning of Lenox and Jeff and Veronica Manning of Albany; fifteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren; his two sisters and brother-in-law, Kay and H.L. Spradlin and Erma Barnett all of Tifton.
Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, 156 Landmark Church Road, Chula, Ga. 31733.
