George Steedley

Mr. Hansel George Steedley, 85, died Wednesday, May 04, 2016 at Cook Medical Center in Adel Georgia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 07, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. Steve Tucker and Rev. Ashley Corbett officiating and his nephew Charles Corbett giving the eulogy.  Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends before the service from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M.in the Chapel.

Bill Farrior, Lynn Barber, Craig Steedley, David Farrior, Jason Clemons, and Greg Morgan will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Steedley was born July 15, 1930 to the late Mose Zeal and Elizabeth Henderson Steedley in Ware County.

Mr. Steedley was retired from the Citizens Bank of Tifton. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He loved going fishing with his wife of sixty three years, Margie Steedley who died September 29, 2013. Spending time with his family and friends was one of his favorite past times.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Steedley was preceded in death by a son, Mark Steedley and a grandson, Eric Steedley.

Mr. Steedley is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Hansel Steedley of Sylvester, Tim and Teresa Steedley of Tifton and Doug and Kathy Steedley of Cairo; his grandchildren, Missy and Craig Harpe, Alan Steedley, Randy and Jennifer Steedley, Rebecca Steedley and Kerry Steedley; his great grandchildren, Niki Hilton, Joseph Hilton, Natalie Black, Zoey Black, Sage Steedley, Reese Steedley, Jack Steedley, and Theo Kulat; one great great grandchild, Tinzley Hilton; one brother Bill Steedley of Swainsboro and two sisters, Evelyn Lynn of Manor and Gwen Hewett of Starke, Fla.

Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Liberty Baptist Church, 1290 Jacob Hall Road, Tifton, Ga. 31794
