Franklin "Alvin" Marshall

Mr. Alvin Marshall, 72, of Tifton passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at First Presbyterian Church of Tifton with Dr. Hugh Ward officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the church before the service.

Mr. Marshall was born February 6, 1950 in Tift County to the late Jim L. Marshall and Dollie Ross Marshall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Alton Marshall and Aubrey Marshall. Mr. Marshall was a lifelong resident of Tift County where he graduated from Tift County High School.  After graduation, he served in the Georgia National Guard. Then he returned to farm the family land, then working in sales for Husqvarna for many years where he earned many achievement awards. He then became self-employed as the owner of Marshall Property Maintenance. Mr. Marshall enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and attending bike week events. He was an avid golfer and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tifton for over thirty years, serving as an Elder, Clerk of Sessions and on many committees.

Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife, Nancy Palmer Marshall; his children, Casey (Amy) Marshall of Tifton, Feraby (Keith) Moye of Cairo and Jennifer (Michael) Hickox of Tifton; his grandchildren, Brandon, Megan, Mandi, Charlotte and Jackson and his sister, Ann Stilwell.
