Etta "Fernella" (King) McLean

Mrs. Etta Fernella King McLean, 87, of Tifton, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Dr. Jeff Pangle officiating. Interment will follow at Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McLean was born October 27, 1935 in Irwin County to the late Lewis Dorsey King and Ruby Day King. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jim” H. McLean and her sister, Othella King Scarborough. Mrs. McLean was a member of Waterloo Baptist Church and at the time of her death she was one of the oldest living members of the church. She was a 1954 graduate of Tifton High School. She loved flowers and she had worked in the floral business for over sixty-five years, in which she always had time for her customers. She had lived in Irwin and Tift Counties all of her life. Mrs. McLean sacrificed everything possible for her children.

Mrs. McLean is survived by her children Olivia and Kurt Whiddon of Tifton, Melisa Bloodworth and Williams Downs of Ty Ty, Melinda and Stephen Clements of Tifton and Marshall McLean of Flowery Branch; her grandchildren, Randy Bloodworth, Raven Mullis, Shelby Clements and Tristin Clements along with several nieces and nephews.
