Esther Jean (Knoch) Elliott

Mrs. Esther Jean Knoch Elliott, 71, of Tifton, passed away at home with her family and caregivers by her side on Monday, April 20, 2020.

A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 with the Rev. Ronnie Howell and Rev. Roger Mays officiating.

Mrs. Elliott was born November 15, 1948 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to the late Ralph Knoch and Floretta Wiley Knoch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-daughter Carla Moody, her grandson Matthew Smith, her sister Gladys Cooley and her brothers, Roy Knoch, Sr., and Floyd Knoch. Mrs. Elliott was a member of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church. She was a retired dispatcher for Morgan Drive Away, a large trucking company. Later on, she was a cashier at Foodmax in Tifton. Mrs. Elliott loved her family and was very active in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and was a practical joker. She was a Band Booster at Tift County High School when her children were there.

Mrs. Elliott is survived by her husband, Carl Elliott of Tifton to whom she was married for fifty-three years; her five daughters, Debbie and James Scarborough, Sandy Young, Brenda Barnes all of Tifton, Laurie Pitts of Leesburg and Darla Elliott of Statesboro;special nephews Eric Knoch and Roy Knoch; two step-daughters, Dotty and Dave Pistella of Manor, Pennsylvania and Maryanne and John Hudec of West Tarentum, Pennsylvania; her son-in-law, Billy Joe Moody of Ocilla; her brothers, Richard Knoch of California and Kenny Knoch of Green Bay, Wisconsin; her sister, Sharon Patterson of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Jake Scarborough, Jason Smith, Jimmy Scarborough, Damion Scarborough, Austin Pitts, Tyler Pitts, Brittany Smith, Mallory Barnes, Amber Barnes, Brandon and Laina Smith, Kristen Smith, Angie Perez-Maldonado and Juan Perez-Maldonado and Brittany Hudec and Courtney Hudec; great grandkids, Renleigh Jones, Carson Barnes, Kashton Scarborough, Connor Smith, Mya Smith, Oliva Smith, Jayden, Dominic, Jaxton and Castel Perez-Maldonado and Rex Welch.

Her family would like to thank her special caregivers, Donna Ducote and Rhonda Stokes.
