Ernestine was a mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother, she was a business person operating her own truck and trailer logging in thousands of miles across our great country she was so much to so many. She spent most of her life living in Tifton, GA. In addition to all of these things, she was a remarkable woman. She was considered by some as being rough around the edges because she was direct, to the point and most importantly honest. You always knew where you stood and where she stood as she took this stand out of love and respect for each individual. Within that rough outer layer was a heart filled with Jesus Christ. She not only had compassion for others. but she always took action and reached out to help people in need.
She had a passion for “plundering”, whether it be antique malls, flea markets, yard sales or any road side stand. There was always that excitement of finding that “diamond in the rough”. The quest was not a monetary journey, but the true definition that one person’s junk is another person’s treasure.
Mrs. Cosper is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky Sr. and Sue Baker of Tifton and Wayne and Julie Cosper of Tifton; three sisters, Vicky and Michael Tucker of Pensacola, Fla., Dwinnon and Carol Sikes of Alapaha and Sue and Charles Mitchell of Irwinville; one brother, Dale Watson of Ocilla, five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Cosper is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Cosper.
“A beautiful garden now stands alone, missing the one who nurtured it, but now she is gone;
Her flowers still bloom, and the sun it still shines, but the rain is like tear drops, for the ones left behind;
The weeds lay waiting to take the gardens beauty away, but the beautiful memories of its keeper are in our hearts to stay;
She loved every flower even some that were weeds, so much love, she would plant with each little seed;
But just like her flowers she was part of Gods plan, So when it was her time He reached down his hand; He looked through the Garden searching for the best, That’s when he found Ernestine, it was her time to rest;
It was hard for those who loved her, to just let her go; but God had a spot in his garden, that needed a gentle soul;
So when you start missing Ernestine, remember if you just wait, When God has a spot in His garden, She’ll meet you at the gate”.
“We will always carry your memory in our hearts”
