Elwanda "Wanda" (Henderson) Keen

Mrs. Elwanda “Wanda” Henderson Keen, 91, of Tifton, went to her Heavenly Home on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Eastside Baptist Church with her pastor, Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery with Landon Alberson, Hospice Chaplain officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, March 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers are her Grandsons, Patrick Hill and Jamie Keen; Grandsons-in-law, Matt Renfroe, Mikey Webb, Michael Jones and Scott Porter. Honorary pallbearers are her nephews and the Deacons of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton.

Mrs. Keen was born April 11, 1928 in Tift County to the late John Jackson Henderson and Martha Walker Henderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband the Reverend James E. Keen to whom she was married for fifty-two years at his death September 21, 1999, her daughter Glenda Holland, her son Gary Keen, brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie C. Henderson (Lois), Clyde Henderson (Lillian), Donald Henderson (Hallie) and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Violet H. Coarsey(Austin), Donnell H. Whitaker(Boyce). Mrs. Keen was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton, where she was very active and was in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Miss Wanda grew up in Enigma, Georgia in a loving Christian home. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed serving beside her husband for forty-two years in the ministry. She was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Keen was a member of Kitchen Band at First Methodist Church. She loved her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Keen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Russell Hill of Tifton, her daughter-in-law, Patsy Keen of Tifton, her son-in-law, Billy Holland of Pigeon Forge, TN., grandchildren, Angela Keen, Patrick Hill (Ellen), Robin Jones (Michael), Shauna Webb (Mikey), Tiffany Avant, April Renfroe (Matt), Kaycee H. Porter (Scott) and Jamie Keen; great grandchildren,  Austin Avant, Alex Renfroe, Christian Avant, Keenan Webb, SandiGlen Jones, Mason Avant, Kenslee Ann Webb, Will Ray, Jackson Hill, KayleeGlen Jones, JohnMark Ray, Kade Keen and Kyleigh Keen; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Doris Rouse of Ray City, Ga., Betty Dupree (Ed) of Nashville, Susan Keen of Nashville and Harry Keen (Sandy) of Warwick.

The family will gather at the home of Russell and Pat Hill.
