Eliud Imla Daniell Dickens, 96, a dedicated homemaker and beloved member of the Omega community, passed away peacefully at her residence Omega, Georgia on July 23, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully departed this world.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Omega Cemetery with Rev. Rickey Wells officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
Born on September 20, 1927, in Laurens County, Georgia, Imla was a cherished daughter of the late Douglas and Leona Atkins Daniell. She grew up alongside her stepmother, the late Georgia Powell Daniell, her brother the late Gerald Daniell and sisters the late Gillette Ilg and the late Willadean Head. Imla's nurturing spirit and kind heart were evident from a young age, qualities that would define her life's work as a devoted homemaker/
Imla's proudest accomplishment was being a dedicated member of Omega Methodist Church, where she found solace in her faith and community. Her unwavering commitment to her church family reflected her strong values and deep-rooted beliefs.
Throughout her life, Imla shared a deep bond with her late husband Delma Buren Dickens. Together they raised their children with love and care, creating a warm and nurturing home for their family. Along with her parents, husband and her three siblings, she was preceded in death by her son Ernest Dickens, grandson Brad Crumley, and great grandson Cameron Dickens.
Imla is survived by her children: Emily Botton (Danny) of Tifton, Alice Graham (Bill) of Liburn, Danny Dickens (Patricia) of Omega, and Patricia Johnson of Omega. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Marla Jessee of Liburn, Shan and Benji Scarbor of Sparks, Jeremy and Autumn Dickens of Norman Park, Jessica and Denver Braswell of Lenox, Jacie and Stephen Duke of Omega, Kayla Botton of Tifton, Stephanie Botton of Tifton, Stephen and Amber Botton of Tifton, Karla Erskine of Omega, Mandy & Bert Ponder of Omega; as well as twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Imla's legacy of unwavering love, compassion, and dedication to family will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege to know her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was truly loved and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
