Edna Anna (Greene) Pless

Mrs. Edna Anna Greene Pless, 96, of Tifton passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at her residence.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 in Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Benjy Varnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. before the graveside services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Pless was born January 18, 1922 in Worth County, Georgia to the late Julian Greene and Texas Shiver Greene. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Harold Pless who died October, 1973, four sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Pless was a homemaker and charter member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton and one of the oldest living member. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Pless delivered Meals on Wheels. She loved flower gardening, fishing on her farm, Atlanta braves baseball and watching the birds in her yard.

Mrs. Pless is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Suzanne Pless of Tifton; her daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Ferrell Wooten of Lilburn; one grandson, Jason and Becky Wooten of Lilburn; great granddaughter, Tayler Wooten.

The family would like to give special thanks to her wonderful longtime caregivers, Elizabeth Bennett, Brenda Miller and Linda Farley.
