Dorris Virginia Chaney

Dorris V. Chaney, lovingly known as "Dot" or "Dotty," passed away on November 17, 2024. 

A graveside service will be held Saturday November 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Tift Memorial Gardens, located at 1754 US-82, Tifton, GA 31794. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at Albritton Funeral Home, 1020 Tift Ave N, Tifton, GA before the service at Tift Memorial Gardens.

Dylan Cournoyer, Justin Cournoyer, Carl Atha, Rodney Osborne, Christian Schnier, Ron Collins and Brian Schnier will serve as pallbearers.

Dot was born in Tifton, GA, and later made her home in Dade City, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Chaney, the love of her life, as well as her parents, Jewel and Robert Allen, and her siblings: Henry Allen, Nelma Jo Allen, Ruth Allen, Bobby Allen, Angeline Allen, Johnny Allen, and Billy Allen.

Dot was a dedicated CPA who found immense joy and fulfillment in her work. She established her own CPA business, where her passion for helping others was evident to all who knew her.

She leaves behind her three beloved children: Robert (Danny) Chaney, Mia Chaney Osborne (Rodney Osborne), and Denise Chaney Schnier (Brian Schnier). Dot was also a proud grandmother to thirteen grandchildren and cherished her many great-grandchildren.
