Donna Kay (Hicks) Blackburn

Mrs. Donna Kay Hicks Blackburn, 70, of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Pruitt Health-Lakehaven of Valdosta.

A private burial will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Blackburn was born December 1, 1952 in Trenton, Tennessee to the late Robert Lloyd Hicks and Pearl June Lewis Hicks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Blackburn. She graduated Paris High School in Paris, Tennessee. She was a person with a giving heart and she would give you the shirt off her back. Mrs. Blackburn was a good Christian woman who loved to sing and paint.

Mrs. Blackburn is survived by her daughter, Melissa Powers of Valdosta and her son, Matthew Dow Jones of Valdosta; three grandsons, Shawn Powers, Colby Powers and Chad Ericson.
