Donald "Donnie" Floyd Jones, Jr.

Donald “Donnie” Floyd Jones, Jr., 65 of Lyons, formerly of Tifton died on Saturday morning, September 16, 2023, at Oxley Park Health & Rehabilitation surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Tucker and Rev. Gary Cadwell officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:45 before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.

Donnie was born on June 19, 1958 in Lyon’s Georgia.  He was the son of the late Donald Floyd Jones, Sr. and the late Helen Rich Stanford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his niece Alexis West and his sister-in-law, Angie Jones.

Donnie was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and he loved the Lord and knew the Lord would get him thru so many struggles that he endured during his life.  He loved his family and friends with all he had to give.  He had a passion for singing and listening to gospel music.  He enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.

He is survived by his brother Ronnie Jones of Tifton, his sisters Kathy Jones & Bear Johnson of Ailey, GA, and Tracy and Stephen McGee of Hahira along with several nieces and nephews.
