Donald L Dorminey, Jr.

Mr. Donald L. Dorminey, Jr., 62, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 5:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Benji Rowland officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 4:45 P.M. in the Chapel at Albritton Funeral Directors prior to the service.

Mr. Dorminey was born on December 25, 1956 in Fairbanks, Alaska to the late Donald L. Dorminey, Sr. and Gwynne Coker Hunt of Atlanta. He was married to Judy Lee Dorminey of Tifton.

Mr. Dorminey had lived in Tifton since 1979. Following his retirement from Tifton Aluminum, he was a truck driver for Jet Trucking and Lowes of Tifton. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and loved working on cars and motorcycles.  He was passionate about rescuing animals.

In addition to his wife, Judy, Mr. Dorminey is survived by three sisters, Donna Wood of Atlanta, GA; Cyndi and Michael Eden of Mohawk, TN; Mary and Bobby Walraven of Dallas, GA; one brother David Dorminey of Dothan, AL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Tift County Humane Society, 278 GA Hwy 125, Tifton, GA 31794.
