Donald Ray Beggs

Mr. Donald Ray Beggs, 68, of Ocilla passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Tift Memorial Gardens with Mr. Guy Haynes officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mr. Beggs was born August 14, 1953 in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina to Christine Perkins McAllister and the late Charles Linberg Beggs. Mr. Beggs was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served three terms during the Vietnam era. After returning home he was a self-employed paint and body worker. He loved to rebuild and repairs cars.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Beggs is survived by his wife, Katrinia Parkerson Beggs of Ocilla; two sons, James Mason Beggs of Florida and Michael Andrew Beggs of Alma, Georgia; four grandchildren, Gabby Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Lauren Beggs and Hannah Beggs; one brother, Dennis J. Beggs of West Point, Georgia and one sister, Sandra L. Brunson of Tifton.  He is also survived by his step children, Ronnie Hurt and Threasa Chapman.
