Cynthia "Cindy" (Hyde) LaHue

Mrs. Cynthia “Cindy” Hyde LaHue, 55, of Tifton formerly of Irwin County passed away at her residence on Friday, November 5, 2021 in Tifton.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M.,Monday, November 8, 2021, in Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Harsey officiating.

Mrs. LaHue was born in Ocilla, to her parents, Susan McSwain Hyde and the late Roy Edward Hyde on September 11, 1966.  Along with her Father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Horace and Jeanette McSwain and Leon and Catherine Hyde.  She was raised in Irwin County, but graduated High School from Southwest High School in Macon where she lived several years before returning to South Georgia.   She was a business manager of the University of Georgia’s Tifton campus where she worked for the past twenty-one years.   Cindy’s happiest times were spent with her family especially her precious grandchildren.  She had a dynamic personality and sense of humor.  Her smile was infectious and encouraged her friends and strangers around her.  Humor was a true character trait among her friends.  Cindy loved traveling and camping.  She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Irwin county.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her husband of thirty years, Stevan Scott LaHue, her daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Josh Holt of Chester, GA, two grandchildren Sadie Holt and Coleman Holt, her brother, Lamar Hyde of Irwinville and her nephew, Casey Hyde of Irwinville.
