Mrs. Cleo Burdette Beasley, 93, of TyTy died Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Legacy Village Assisted Living.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at First Baptist Church of TyTy with Rev. John Smith officiating and Sean Collins giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 28, 2023 at Albritton Funeral Directors.
Justin Beasley, Sean Collins, Kyle Brewer, Chris Burdette, Wayne Burdette and Westley Tawzer will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Beasley was born January 17, 1930 in Turner County as the eighth child of ten born to the late Collie Anderson Burdette and Barbara Maybell Beard Burdette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Dewey Eldridge Beasley to whom she was married for sixty-eight years at his death on June 30, 2018, her son, Eugene Beasley and nine siblings. She was a member of First Baptist Church of TyTy and graduated from Sumner High School in 1947. She was a Mother and Homemaker from 1950 until 1970, when she started working as a para professional for the Tift County Board of Education for twenty-two years. She was a very devoted Pastor’s wife who followed her husband around Alabama, Georgia, Florida and Mississippi serving the Lord as he pastored for fifty-eight years as a Baptist Minister. She loved the Lord and her family dearly. Mrs. Beasley enjoyed cooking, sewing and being with her family.
Mrs. Beasley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Patti Beasley of TyTy; three grandchildren, Justin and Heather Beasley, Lynsey and Kyle Brewer and Sean and Caitlyn Collins; five great grandchildren, Kiley Richey, Rebecca Beasley, Lydia Beasley, Westley Tawzer and Brantley Williams along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special Thank You to Traditions Hospice and the staff at Legacy Village where she had lived for the last five years for all their loving care.
