Christine (Adams) Lovette

Americus – Mrs. Christine Adams Lovette, 97, of Plains, formerly of Tifton, died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus.

Graveside services and interment will be held Saturday, July 15, 2:00 P.M. in Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 6:00- 8:00 P.M at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Lovette was born December 19, 1919 in Wilcox County to the late Leslie Adams and Nan Wood Adams. She graduated from Abbeville High School.  She was an avid reader who loved flowers and loved to garden.  She attended New Covenant Church in Tifton before moving to Plains to be closer to her son.  She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Lovette was preceded in death by her husband Randall Lanier “R.L.” Lovette and her daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Coy Glenn, Jr. and her companion dog “Honey Bear.”

For most of her life Mrs. Lovette was a homemaker and stay at home mother who loved and cared for her family.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Terry and Sarah Lovette, Andersonville, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
