Charles Edward Childs, 45, of TyTy passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 in Brownsville, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Marion Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

David Saunders, Jeremy Saunders, Britt Booth, Jr., Allen Conger, Wayne Conger and Josh Beverly will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Childs was born May 9, 1974 in Tift County to Harvey Childs and Rosa Dotson Childs. He was self-employed and had lived in Worth County most of his life. He was a talented mechanic and enjoyed paint and body work, especially restoring antique cars. He enjoyed car racing especially dirt track, but his greatest love was his son and daughter.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mayra Hayde Cardenas Childs of Ty Ty; one daughter Sophia Childs of Ty Ty; one son Colby Childs of Tifton; two step-children Kevin Cardenas and Giara Cardenas; one sister and brother-in-law Maxine and Don Conger of Norman Park; two brothers and sisters-in-law Leon and Cassandra Childs of Sumner and Paul and Janet Childs of Moultrie; nine nieces and nephews.
