Catherine Sue Chapman Jones, 63, of Tifton died Friday, March 10, 2017 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 13 from 6 – 8 PM at the funeral home.
Ryan Losee, Cody Losee, Robert Thomas, Braxton Grantham, Taelin Baxely and Mark Chapman will serve as pallbearers.
Ms. Catherine was born on October 20, 1953 in Tifton to Tom and Carolee Gonser Chapman both of whom preceded her in death. She had lived in Tifton most of her life and graduated from Tift County High School. She loved all animals and even loved to cook homemade food for them. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and shopping with her daughter. She loved her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Candida and James Hendley of Tifton, one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Linda Sutton of Mineral Bluff, Georgia, one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Melissa Chapman of Tifton and seven grandchildren.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph Lee Chapman and Tommy Chapman and one grandson, Nevin Baker.
