Mrs. Harris nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Mrs. Sarah Willis, Auxiliary’s President and the Pink Ladies and Red Coats of Tift Regional Medical Center Auxiliary will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Mrs. Harris was born June 15, 1935 in Tift County to the late Thomas Herbert Lawrence and Kate Alice Smith Lawrence. She was married to H. Wayne Harris of Tifton for sixty-four years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, James, Troy, Wayne (Buddy), Tommy and Milton Lawrence; six sisters, Maureen Syfret, Dorothy Lawrence, Hattie Daniels, Willie Mullis, Nannie Minton and Etta Sue Bosson. Without a doubt this lady, Carolyn Harris, was an exceptional and dedicated Pink Lady. She certainly served the Auxiliary well and was a fantastic Decorating/Hospitality Chairperson. Carolyn was a Pink Lady since early 1992, right after retiring from the Federal Government. She served in our Federal Government for at least thirty years while residing in Laurel, Maryland. Carolyn was outstanding and was appreciated and loved by all who knew her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kaylin Michelle Harris Marsden and Michael Jay Marsden; three grandchildren, Nathan Sean, Amelia Eden and Mitchell Harris Marsden.
There is no limit to what God can do in you and through you when you reprogram your thinking and start believing that you’re blessed, valuable, one of a kind and more than a Conqueror.
Flowers will be accepted or donations to the Hospice of Tift Area, 618 N Central Ave., Tifton, Ga. 31794.
