Carmen Jimenez

Carmen Jimenez, born on July 5, 1955, in San Juan Del Rio, Queretaro, Mexico, passed away on June 1, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Peter Oyenugba and Father Alfonso Gutierrez officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 P.M. at the church before the service. 

She was a dedicated self-employed individual who found joy in cleaning homes for others. Carmen's love for her work was evident in the care and effort she put into everything she did. She was very resilient and had survived breast cancer since 2018.
 
Throughout her life, Carmen's proudest accomplishment was being a devout catholic then a member of Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church of Tifton, where she actively participated and found solace in her faith. Beyond her professional and religious endeavors, Carmen had a deep passion for cooking and often delighted her family and friends with delicious meals. She also had a green thumb and took pleasure in tending to her garden and plants.
 
Carmen will be dearly missed by her surviving family members, including her husband, Sergio Enrique Olalde Flores of Mexico; her children, Sergio Enrique Olalde and Alejandro Olalde; her grandchildren, Eli Olalde, Diana Olalde, Miriam Olalde, and Sara Olalde; as well as her great-grandchild, Gael Avila. She is also survived by her siblings Berenice Galvan, Rene Galvan, Jovita Galvan, Juan Galvan, Marialuisa Galvan, and Eva Galvan.
 
Carmen was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Demetria Jimenez, and her sibling Cruz Jimenez. Her kindness, hard work ethic, and warm spirit will forever be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
