Bobby John Stanford

Bobby John Stanford, 79, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his residence.

Graveside services will be Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 2:00pm in Oakridge cemetery with Rev. John Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 23 from 6:00 – 8:00p.m.  at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mr. Stanford was born on September 29, 1937 to the late John L. Stanford and Sadie Hooks Stanford. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Rich Stanford who died January 23, 2017. He had lived in Tifton since 1978 and was member of First Baptist Church of Tifton.  He was active for 12 years in the Army National Guard and Reserves, loved birdwatching, fishing, camping and was dedicated to his home and family.

Mr. Stanford is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Dana Stanford of Adrian; two step sons, Donald Floyd Jones, Jr and Ronnie Keith Jones of Tifton; two step daughters, Kathy Denise Jones of Metter and Tracy Lynn McGee of Tifton; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Phillip Watson of Macon, Carolyn and Morris Mason of Vidalia, Catherine and Roger Parten of Mt. Vernon.
