Blake Thomas Owens

Mr. Blake Thomas Owens, 21, of Omega, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from injuries sustained from a vehicle accident.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Keith Norris and Rev. Christopher House officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Luke Gwines, Chris Ponder, Dennis House, Darrell Braswell, Stewart Keith and Michael House will serve as pallbearers.

Blake was born January 30, 2001 in Tift County to Robert “Bobby” Matthew Owens and Shan Moorman Owens. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of Tifton. Blake was a welder-fabricator for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a 2019 graduate of Tift County High School and attended ABAC. He loved farming, growing hay and spending time with his two dogs. Blake was an outdoorsman who enjoyed deer hunting, but his favorite pastime was spending time with his Dad and Granddad.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Anna Claire Owens of Tifton; his grandparents, Reba and Ray Moorman of Omega; his aunts, Susie Moorman and Sallie Humphreys; his uncle Steve Owens; his aunts and uncles, Rhonda and Phil Shelley and Dianne and Edwin Hines; his dogs, Buddy and Harley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myra and Bill Owens.
