Betty Jane (Morris) Winter

Betty Jane Morris Winter, 71 of Chula died March 26, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31st from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Winter’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers and the employees of WalMart Pharmacy Warehouse will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Winter was born on February 08, 1946 in Ocilla to the late Thomas Jefferson Morris and Christine Spires Morris. She lived in Tift County since 1975 and was married to James Larry Winter of Chula for 45 years. Mrs. Winter enjoyed cooking, working in her garden, fishing and camping.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Winter is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Susan and Frank Griffin, Jr. of Tifton and Cathy Libby of Cochran; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Sandy Hudgins of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Herman and Ruth Morris of Irwinville, Jack and Jamie Morris of Kansas; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Buddy Pafford of Suwanee, FL; eleven grandchildren, Josh Winter, Brady Winter, Perrin Winter, Del Griffin, Gavin Griffin, Kyle Hudgins, Amy Hudgins, Brandie McLean, Shannon Wilson, Courtney Griffin and Candace Griffin; and one great grandchild, Frankie Marie McLean.
Mrs. Winter was preceded in death by one son, Jamie Winter.
