Betty Lou Copeland Weaver, 87, of Tifton, died Wednesday, February 01, 2017 at Legacy Village, Tifton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 04, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. in First Assembly of God Church, Tifton with Rev. Randy Stokes and Dr. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, February 03, 2017 at the funeral home.
Allen Tanner, Johnny Tanner, Paul Tanner, David Tanner, Trent Doss and Heath Thompson will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Weaver was born on March 30, 1929 in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Sam Price Copeland and Eunice Alma Reeves Copeland. She was married to the late Lowell Edward Weaver who died in 1968. Mrs. Weaver graduated from Rockmart High School and lived most of her life in Tifton. She taught preschool at TCDI for many years. As a member of the First Assembly of God in Tifton, she loved her Lord, her church and her family very much. Mrs. Weaver was a wonderful homemaker who loved children; she loved to laugh, play games with her family and friends, crossword puzzles, reading, and old western movies.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her three daughters and two sons-in-law, Gail W. Kirkland and Tony of TyTy, Lynn W. Crawley and Jimmy of Thomson, GA, and Ellen W. Fritz of Tifton; her grandchildren, Larry E. Weaver Jr., Laura W. Kilgore, Tony F. Kirkland III, Katherine K. Wakeland, Lori Beth Glover, Catherine Crawley and Ashley Crawley and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by one son, Larry E. Weaver, one brother, James Copeland and one son-in-law, Ron Fritz.
