Betty (Cooper) Tucker

August 30, 1934 — December 6, 2017

Betty Cooper Tucker, 83, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10th at 3:00pm in Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Justin Atchison officiating and Eulogy by Rick Hodnett. Interment to follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30pm before service.

Russell Hodnett, Nick Hodnett, Wesley Hodnett, Zack Hodnett, Jonathan Hodnett and Timothy Hodnett will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Tucker was born August 30, 1934 in Tift County to the late Ira David Cooper and Ettie Mae West Cooper. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Tucker who died November, 2004; three brothers, Clarence Cooper, C. L. Cooper and Benny Cooper (her twin); four sisters, Rozeane Lovette, Dovie Pritchard, Christine Ross and Virginia Layton. She graduated from Tifton High School, was a shift supervisor at J. P. Stevens and Nashville Mills where she later retired. Mrs. Tucker loved to cook and have family gatherings.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Shelba Tucker, Robert and Sandra Tucker all of Tifton; grandchildren, Mollie and Zach Wilson, Eli and Diana Tucker, Allen and Nicky Lamb; great grandchildren, Luke Wilson, Caroline Wilson, Eliza Wilson, Madeline Tucker, Eliana Tucker, Tucker Lamb and Taylor Lamb. Special companion for over twenty years, Sanford Luke.

Flowers accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, PO Box 747, Tifton, Ga. 31793.
