Betty (Jackson) Ray

Ms. Betty Jackson Ray, 79, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her daughter’s residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Tim Harsey officiating. Interment will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.

Barry Dalrymple, Cole Sercer, Josh Jones, Frankie Webb, William Harsey and Junior Drawdy will serve as pallbearers.

Ms. Ray was born December 26, 1942 in Tift County to the late Clyde Jackson and Jane Benefield Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Mae J. Varner and Mable J. Connell. Ms. Ray was a member of Tift Avenue Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She liked to socialize and go to church. Her favorite place to visit was the beach.

Ms. Ray is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Rickey Wilkerson of Rebecca and Denna and Heath Thompson of Tifton; two grandchildren, Courtney and Cole Sercer of Rebecca and Amber and Barry Dalrymple of Ashburn and three great grandchildren, Cloe Sercer, Crome Sercer and Laney Dalrymple.
